In this exploration we will study the books, films and poetry performances of various members of the Deaf Community, to see the world and its history through their eyes. Experience the beauty of ASL. Explore the math and science of hearing, hearing loss, cochlear implants and the controversy surrounding them. Explore attitudes and policies regarding Deaf people from 1800 through today.
We are excited to hear what you've learned and what connections you've made in a one-hour class discussion with a mentor and other youth once a week.
